Arrow Electronics, Inc. (NYSE:ARW) has entered into a new distribution
agreement with AU Optronics Corporation (AUO) for the company’s
flat-panel displays used in the medical device, aerospace and defense,
kiosk and digital display industries. Arrow will provide AUO with
distribution services, and offer value-added integration with AUO
technology to Arrow customers.
With this agreement, Arrow can offer its customers in the Americas a
broader scope of solutions in flat-panel technologies, with a full
spectrum of display solutions for use in test and measurement,
industrial controls, kiosk point-of-sale access, digital signage,
networking, and communications, among others. Taiwan-based AUO will be
supported by Arrow’s full suite of design and engineering services
within its specialized OEM Computing Solutions group, providing global
system integration and logistics capabilities.
