Michael J. Long
Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer
Michael J. Long is chairman, president and chief executive officer (CEO) of Arrow Electronics, Inc.
Prior to being named CEO in May 2009, Long served as president and chief operating officer (COO) of Arrow, with responsibility for all of the company’s operations and business units.
Before that, Long served as senior vice president of Arrow and president of the company’s Global Components business with responsibility for overseeing Arrow’s semiconductor, passive, electromechanical and connector products and services businesses worldwide.
Long has been with Arrow since 1991 when Arrow merged with Schweber Electronics, a company where he held various leadership roles from 1983 to 1990. In 1994, Long was president, Capstone Electronics, an Arrow company, and from 1995 to 1999, he was president, Gates/Arrow Distributing. From 1998 to 2005, Long was president and COO, Arrow North American Computer Products (now Arrow Enterprise Computing Solutions). As a result of his success in running and growing this business, Long was named one of Computer Reseller News' “Top 25 Executives” in 2002 and 2004. Long also served as president, North America and Asia/Pacific components.
Long holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Wisconsin and attended the Milwaukee School of Engineering. He is active in the Young Presidents’ Organization, a global peer networking group. He serves on the Board of Directors of AmerisourceBergen. He is also on the Board of Directors for the Denver Zoo.
Sean J. Kerins
President, Global Enterprise Computing Solutions
Sean Kerins serves as president of Arrow’s global enterprise computing solutions business providing data-center solutions, services and support to solution providers and their customers. Kerins brings more than 25 years of corporate, international management and sales experience.
Kerins most recently served as president of the North American region for Arrow’s enterprise computing solutions business. He joined Arrow in 2007 as vice president of North American storage and networking for the enterprise computing solutions segment.
Prior, Kerins spent 10 years at EMC, serving as vice president of the North American client solution leads practice in addition to a variety of other key sales operations, marketing and professional services roles around the world. Also, Kerins held progressively senior roles with Coopers & Lybrand Consulting, and he served as an industrial engineer with General Motors.
Kerins holds a bachelor’s degree in engineering from Syracuse University and a Master of Business Administration from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management.
President, Global Components
Andy King serves as president of Arrow’s global components business providing semiconductors, passive electromechanical components, and other products. Coupled with a range of services, these solutions and tools help industrial and commercial customers introduce innovative products, reduce time to market, and enhance their overall competitiveness.
King has over 30 years of experience in the technology industry, and most recently served as president of the Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) region for Arrow’s global components business. Previously, King served as Arrow’s vice president of sales in the EMEA region, and vice president of engineering and marketing with overall responsibility for Arrow’s supplier business relations and engineering services strategies in that region.
Prior to rejoining Arrow, King served as president of Premier Farnell Europe and global head of the electronic design engineering segment.
Before joining Premier Farnell, King was vice president of sales development for Arrow Electronics Europe.
Vincent P. Melvin
Senior Vice President and Chief Information Officer
Vincent Melvin is senior vice president and chief information officer of Arrow Electronics, Inc., with responsibility for managing the company's global information technology systems, real estate, and operations. Melvin joined Arrow in 2006 and has led many transformational projects across Arrow’s global business. He is responsible for all of Arrow’s global technology operations, development and support functions and participates actively with internal and external customers and suppliers. He is focused on delivering differentiated value and capability across Arrow's complete range of electronics and technology lifecycle services.
Prior to Arrow, Melvin was executive vice president and chief information officer of Sanmina-SCI, Inc., a leading electronics manufacturing services provider. He started his career with IBM where he held various leadership and technical roles in information technology, supply chain logistics, and sales.
Melvin holds a Bachelor of Science degree in physics from Trinity College and a Master of Science degree in industrial administration from Carnegie Mellon University. He currently serves on the board of the Colorado Technology Association.
M. Catherine Morris
Senior Vice President and Chief Strategy Officer
M. Catherine Morris is senior vice president and chief strategy officer for Arrow Electronics, Inc., where she leads strategic initiatives for the company, including global merger and acquisition activity.
With nearly 30 years of experience in computer products and electronic components distribution, Morris has held a number of senior leadership roles at Arrow. She most recently served as president of Arrow’s enterprise computing solutions segment, and she is the past vice president of Arrow’s North American support services operations; vice president of finance and support services for the enterprise computing solutions business; and vice president of corporate development. Morris has been recognized with numerous awards, including the National Diversity Council and CRN magazine naming Morris as one of the most powerful women in the technology industry.
Morris came to Arrow in 1994 through its acquisition of Anthem Electronics, where she was vice president of finance and corporate controller. Prior to joining Arrow, Morris held various financial leadership roles in the banking and manufacturing industries.
Morris serves on the Board of Directors of Zayo Group Holdings, and she is a member of the Global Leadership Council at Colorado State University and the YWCA's Society of Women Achievers. She received her bachelor's degree in finance from Colorado State University and completed Harvard Business School's General Management Program.
Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer
Chris Stansbury is senior vice president and chief financial officer (CFO) of Arrow Electronics, Inc. He is responsible for leading the company’s global finance organization, and serves as a member of the company's executive committee. Stansbury joined Arrow in 2014 as vice president and chief accounting officer.
Stansbury has extensive finance leadership experience at multinational corporations across several industries. Before joining Arrow, he served as CFO for the Networking Group of Hewlett-Packard. Prior to HP, he held finance positions of increasing responsibility at PepsiCo.
Stansbury holds a Masters of Business Administration degree from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, and a bachelor's degree from the University of Western Ontario.
Senior Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary
Gregory Tarpinian is senior vice president, general counsel, and secretary of Arrow Electronics, Inc. Tarpinian leads Arrow’s Law Department, which encompasses Europe, Asia and North America, and acts as a legal advisor to the company’s Board of Directors on corporate governance matters. Tarpinian has been with Arrow for more than 20 years.
Prior to joining Arrow, Tarpinian practiced law as an associate at the New York City office of Winston & Strawn, and was responsible for associate recruiting.
Tarpinian holds a Bachelor of Arts and a Masters of Business Administration degree from the University of Chicago, and a Juris Doctorate from New York University School of Law.
Gretchen K. Zech
Senior Vice President of Global Human Resources
Gretchen Zech is senior vice president of global human resources (HR) for Arrow Electronics, Inc. She is responsible for Arrow's global HR strategy and operations, and serves as a member of the company's executive committee. She oversees talent and performance management, professional development, and compensation and benefits initiatives for the company.
Zech joined Arrow Electronics from Dex One where she was senior vice president and chief HR officer since 2006. Prior to that, she was HR group vice president at Gartner for several of the company's global business units and corporate services.
Zech previously served in HR leadership positions of increasing responsibility at Great Atlantic & Pacific Tea, Bloomingdale's, Best Buy and Johnson Controls. She holds a bachelor's degree in human resources management from the University of Michigan, as well as Society for Human Resource Management senior certified professional (SHRM-SCP), senior professional in human resources (SPHR) and global professional in human resources (GPHR) certifications. She serves on the Board of Directors of The Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM).
